What am I looking for?
A great place to work! An organization with a new-age thought process and a multi-cultural workforce.
What can I offer?
Awesomeness! I can be your regular developer dude or IT guy, if you wish. More than that however, I specialize in product/brand evangelism & development also. If you’re looking to expand your brand/business to new unexplored territories, then Im your guy. Lets go digital!
Questions and Answers (FAQs)/ Questions people ask me most frequently:
Wait, whaaat? First IT/Development and now your talking business! What are you talking about?
During my time with Microsoft, I was involved in technology evangelism (academic audience). So I’ve learnt a bit of marketing and business during my time with the makers of Windows :)
Why are you not a full time employee at Microsoft?
Positions such as Editor of Channel8 and Microsoft Student Partner are for students only. They are not full time postitions and fall somewhere in between 'volunteer work' and 'award/ recognition'. I graduated from college, and hence from those positions at Microsoft.
Did you receive salary for your work with Microsoft?
No, but I've received a lot of stuff/gadgets/gizmos as rewards & prizes for related competitions and contests.
What exactly are those prizes?
Hmm.. good question..And I love answering this. During my 2.5 years with them I’ve got:
3 XBOX 360’s, 1 Zune 80GB, 1 MSDN Premium Subscription, 1 Windows Vista FPP, 6000 AED Voucher (Du Mobile Contest/Microsoft Imagine Cup), 1 Trip to Macau (redeemed for 8000 AED), 1 SideWinder Keyboard, 1 Sidewinder Mouse, 2000 AED (GITEX 2008), 500 AED (Dubai Municipality Site, thru MS Gulf), 1000 AED (Vista Launch), Trips to France, Egypt and Russia, Sony Handicam, Lots and lots of swag. Launch Kits with: 3 SQL Server 2008, 5 Windows Vista Business.
That’s about all the stuff I can think off/see on my desk. There could be more, will list them as I recollect.
The most valuable asset however, is probably the experience.
What are your salary expectations?
I’m saving for higher education and I need all the money I can get. That said, I wouldn’t resort to pulling an Oceans 11/12/13.
What do you currently do?
